Mission Statement: Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties provide after-school and summer programs for thousands of youths from the ages of 6 to 18 at six club locations. For many of them, the snack they get at their club represents the last thing that they’ll eat that day. But wait, there’s so much more: Did you know that they have a culinary arts program? They teach younger children about nutrition and encourage them to try new things—dragon fruit, for example. Older elementary school children are taught simple meal prep by chef partners. The teen program offers a culinary arts and hospitality career vocational track. One of their young entrepreneurs recently opened her own food truck. All Faiths Food Bank has pantries at each club and working families are able to pick up what they need when they collect their children.

Give — Your Attention: Visit them and take a tour. “We are national brand, but we are a local organization. We want the community to see what it is that we do here.”
