Mission Statement: Feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities.

Lasagna Love believes in the notion of neighbors helping neighbors through the simple act of delivering a homemade meal. Anyone can request a meal from their website. There is no vetting process. “We want to normalize asking for help.” You can request a lasagna if you’re feeling overwhelmed or if you’re dealing with a loss. Lasagna Love trusts that the mere request for help confirms a need for help. Lasagna Love was born during the onset of COVID when a mom named Rhiannon Menn began delivering homemade lasagnas to her neighbors to offer comfort during that scary time. Social media posts spread the word and Lasagna Love now reaches all 50 states with more than 3,000 volunteers that have delivered over 6,000 lasagnas. The Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator for Lasagna Love in Sarasota and five other counties is Merle Bellot. Merle joined as a way of “healing her own heart and keeping it kind in a world that can be anything but.”

Give — Your Love: Do you love to cook? Is your love language “acts of service”? Grab a partner and sign up on the website; one of you can cook the lasagna and the other can drive.
