Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ cup sorghum*
- 1 stick butter
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 18 cups popped popcorn** (or 2 bags microwave popcorn)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 200°F.
Mix first 3 ingredients in saucepan and cook until it’s 270° (about 6 minutes). Carefully mix popcorn and sugar syrup in large bowl. Spread onto 2 large cookie sheets (lined with nonstick foil or parchment) and bake at 200° for an hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
* Dark corn syrup may be used as a substitute.
** Remove any unpopped kernels.
