The goal of these Trash Fish Dinners is to familiarize our public with invasive and lesser-known fish species, introduce alternative courses to our local commercial markets, and spread awareness of sustainable methods of seafood production, such as aquaculture. If we continue to overfish our waters for the most popular edible species, our natural fisheries will be a thing of the past in the near future.

The Third Annual Trash Fish Dinner at Louies Modern was a success, presented by Edible Sarasota, Visit Sarasota County, and Chef's Collaborative.
