Mission Statement: Together with our donors, we transform our region through bold and proactive philanthropy.

Gulf Coast Community Foundation provides the support, acumen, funds, resources, and guidance needed to strengthen nonprofits throughout our community and helps them to fight systemic issues such as hunger. They write grants, provide training, implement protocols, and offer expert consulting services. Every two years they complete a regional scan intended to identify issues that most greatly impact our community; once those issues are identified, they gather the necessary people, data, and funds and get to work. GCCF worked closely with All Faiths Food Bank to examine the connection between hunger and obesity and the need for a nutritious approach. They hosted a forum with Dr. Andrew Weil, the world’s leading proponent of integrative medicine; commissioned two child hunger studies in Sarasota and DeSoto; and helped launch All Faith’s mobile produce truck “Sprout,” which is a mobile farmers’ market offering fresh produce to those in need.

Give — Your Questions: Gulf Coast Community Foundation is the best resource for someone who wishes to donate money but is unsure how or where to begin. GCCF can answer the question “How can I help with what I care about?” but they can also answer the statement “I want to help but I am unsure what to care about.”
