Tomahawk

Cook bacon, then pull it out of pan and set aside. Add butter to bacon fat and use it to baste tomahawk steak.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of bacon, to yield ½ cup bacon fat
  • ½ cup butter
  • 3 pound tomahawk steak
  • Salt and pepper
For the herb brush
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • ½ bunch thyme
  • ½ bunch tarragon
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 garlic cloves, to addd to butter and bacon fat

Preparation

Form herbs into a brush. Dip herb brush in butter and bacon mixture and baste the steak.

Cook for 30 minutes or pull it at internal temperature at 135°F and let rest for 10 minutes.
