Ingredients
- 12 Medjool dates
- ¼ cup almond butter
- ¼ cup dark chocolate
- Optional: 2 tablespoons flaky sea salt
- Optional: 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
Preparation
Make a vertical slit in each date and remove the pits. Then, stuff each date with 1 teaspoon of almond butter. Repeat with all the dates.
In a medium microwave-safe bowl, place dark chocolate in microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, and continue microwaving in
30-second bursts until your chocolate is fully melted.
Dip each date into the dark chocolate. Set aside. Repeat with all the stuffed dates.
If desired, sprinkle each stuffed date with a few flakes of sea salt or sliced almonds.
Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Stuffed dates will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1 week. They can also be frozen for 6 months.
