Whole Chicken with Broccolini

Servings 4 Serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 (3½-pound) whole chicken
  • ½ pound broccolini
  • 1 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried marjoram
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil cooking oil spray

Instructions

  • Allow chicken to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together all of the seasonings, reserving 1 teaspoon of seasoning mix. Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes at 350°F.
While air fryer is preheating, prepare chicken by removing any giblets from the inside of the chicken. Rub 1 tablespoon olive oil followed by the seasoning into the skin of the entire chicken. Generously spray the air fryer pan and the chicken with cooking oil spray. Place the chicken into the air fryer breast side down.
Cook at 350° for 30 minutes. Turn chicken over and cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (165° on thermometer).
Remove and allow to rest. In a medium bowl, combine broccolini, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and remaining seasoning. While chicken is resting, add broccolini to air fryer and cook for 5 minutes at 350°.
