The first of five planned Wow Wow Lemonade storefronts, nears completion inside of a bustling Fruitville Commons. The island-vibe hospitality oasis, adorned in bright, bold branding, boasts a thoughtfully curated, refreshingly healthy menu of creative acai bowls, superfruit smoothies, flatbreads, toasts, and, of course, lemonades. These are built to order with puréed fruits, herbs, and citrus, offering refreshment for all tastes, sweet to floral.

In front of the building busy with contractors, a pop-up lemonade bus with a selection of lemonades and bowls for sale awaits a line of visitors. On a mid-90s day in Sarasota, the watermelon basil lemonade provides a necessary cool-down to peruse the rest of the healthy bowls and bites menu. The refreshing beverage is tart yet balanced nicely with the crushed watermelon and basil leaves.

Andrew and Anju Lynn, franchisees and co-owners of Explor, a Sarasota-based promotional consulting business, were drawn to Wow Wow’s mission and are eager to share it with this community. As Andrew says, they’re “committed to offering fresh and quality food, exceptional service, and leaving the environment better than we found it.” Focusing on clean ingredients, the selection easily appeals to guests with gluten-free and vegan lifestyles with choices like plant-based milk and granola.

The original acai bowl pairs perfectly with the herbal lemonade. Built in an easy-to-carry tub, the perfectly creamy base of acai and almond milk is heavily decorated with gluten-free granola, banana slices, strawberries, and blueberries, topped with honey, and—on Andrew’s recommendation—coconut chips.

With operating hours planned from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wow Wow will be a staple throughout the day: Try a blue Hawaii acai bowl and coconut cold brew after a morning yoga class; a lavender black lemonade after-school refreshment; and, Andrew’s favorite, a lilikoi butter multi-grain toast, topped with strawberries and macadamia nuts, as you finish some emails late afternoon in their café area.

Frequent visitors will enjoy a customer loyalty program to earn free menu items, and all guests can join their mason jar program, one of Wow Wow’s sustainability efforts. Available in various sizes for a nominal fee, return to Wow Wow with your reusable mug and straw for a discounted lemonade fill up.

While Fruitville Commons will be the Lynns’ first Wow Wow Lemonade in the area, they plan to expand the brand throughout the Sarasota area, including Bradenton, a perfect stop to stock up on beach refreshments. Residents might notice the same lemonade bus throughout the area, too, popping up at area markets and events and available for private parties. If you’re interested in bringing refreshing lemonades and acai bowls to your next event, you can reach out to them on their social media channels.”
