Born and raised in a small agricultural town south of the Deep South, Charlotte Abrams' passion for eating locally and seasonally was first influenced by her food-loving family.
Before beginning her formal culinary training, Charlotte travelled extensively soaking up the flavors of the world. After earning a degree in Culinary Arts, she continued to fine-tune her skills in the kitchens of gourmet restaurants as well as the prestigious America's Test Kitchen.
In addition to serving as Edible Sarasota's recipe editor, Charlotte is the author of the food blog The Naked South. With a passion for nutrition and eating seasonally, Charlotte provides a go-to source for easy recipes focussing on foods that are as healthful as they are delicious. A frequent guest chef on ABC 7 My Suncoast, Charlotte loves to teach people how to get the most out of their meals.
When she's not in the kitchen, Charlotte can be found at the beach with her husband and son contemplating the mysteries of the universe.
