The Summer Chef Jam Series has returned for its fifth season, showcasing some big names like the superb stylings of Chef Stephen Phelps, whom you, of course, know as the brains and the taste buds behind Indigenous. The new restaurant on the block, Louie’s Modern, will also be making its Jam debut. And remember that cool cat, Darwin? Yeah, he’ll be taking part in the event, too!

How does it work? On Mondays from June 16 to August 11, from 8 to 10 p.m., 20 bucks gets you several plates and a whole lot of bottomless pints. Yes. Correct. Bottomless. The chefs will be showing off their skills while slingin’ small plates from a food truck as live music blankets the crowd and the bartenders keep your cups full.

The annual event is meant to introduce local restaurants to patrons on a grassroots level. Grassroots meets gourmet. Need I say more? No. I needn’t.

The Chef Jam has always been one of my favorite events of the year. Forget your galas, guys. Put on your flip-flops and join the rest of us who will be shoveling delicious dishes into our gullets and washing it all down with some flavorful craft brews.
